2011:
ON THE HARMFULNESS OF TOBACCO By Anton Chekhov Directed by Adam Corrigan Holowitz Performed by Chris McAuley A hen pecked husband gives a 10 minute speech for a charitably objective, that his controlling wife has forced him give. Over the 10 minutes he strays from the subject on the harmfulness of tobacco, to talking about how he is mistreated and his past hopes. All in a comedic whirl wind. A funny little companion piece, that you can see right before Uncle Vanya. An opportunity to see a rarely performed short by Anton Chekhov, who was master of short plays along with his great expansive dramas. Performance times: April 2,9 at 1:30 pm Running time: 10 minutes (remounted as part of Nuit Blanche on June 25) LOCATION: THE ARTS PROJECT LOBBY 203 Dundas St Free Performance, open to anyone.
