New Version
A fig tree and spider meet in a garage… the web of true friendship has surprising roots.

The garage has everything a spider like Pholcus could want. It’s safe from the dog, warm and he can watch his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs lose on the TV over and over. But with the arrival of a contraband fig tree from Portugal named Figueira, his world and worldview will never be the same.

Written by Patricia Nacamoto
Directed by Adam Corrigan Holowitz and Kydra Ryan
Performed by Patricia Nacamoto and Shaun Hessey

AlvegoRoot creates work on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabek, Haudenosaunee, Lūnaapéewak and Attawandaron peoples as well as nations both recorded and unrecorded who have been caretakers of this land for time immemorial.  These lands are connected with the London Township and Sombra Treaties of 1796 and the Dish with One Spoon Covenant Wampum.
