THE EASTER EGG

By James Reaney

Directed by Jason Rip
Designer Sue Parke

Company
Andrea Hutchison, Adam Corrigan Holowitz, Maya Wong
Demis Odanga, Chris McAuley

A Canadian Gothic play by London and one of Canada’s foremost playwright, James Reaney. The Easter Egg begins dark and thrilling but ultimately becomes stirring and optimistic.

Bethel Henry has inherited the estates of both her deceased husbands, her first, a professor and her second, the bishop. With each estate, she has become the stepmother to her husbands children: Kenneth, who stopped speaking the day his father died and Polly. Polly tries to help bring Kenneth back to his former self. However Bethel is hungry for power and respect dislikes Kenneth being given the keys to his past. Still she must face all being returned to its proper order.
