AlvegoRoot Theatre · Cambium: Stories of the Trees in the Forest City
PODCAST

The trees of London Ontario have stories in and around their bark and branches, so the Cambium Playwrights Unit went exploring and creating. Through a six week educational workshop, led by Adam Corrigan Holowitz, each playwright created a monodrama inspired in some way by the tree they picked as their creative focal point. In this audio production, members of the AlvegoRoot ensemble give voice to these new monodramas.
Playwrights: Suzanne Edmundson, Jon Higgins, Marion Johnson, Brandon Kulic, Chris McAuley, Celine Medeiros, Patricia Nacamoto, Thomas Sayers, James Tot, Kydra Ryan, Yunike Soedarmasto, Jade Walker

Dramaturgy and Direction by Adam Corrigan Holowitz

Performed by Casey Cornell, Elizabeth Durand, Dan Ebbs, Patricia Nacamoto, Yunike Soedarmasto

Cambium:
The cambium is a growth layer of the tree making new cells during the growing season. The cambium is what makes the trunk, branches and roots grow thicker.
From Medieval Latin, meaning change or exchange.
