Elyse Thea Lavande - Playwright & Actor
Elyse is a multi skilled theatre witch, who’s worked and studied across Canada and the USA. She has worked as an actor and behind the scenes in wardrobe and design for film and stage. Most recently she was seen onstage this summer in Louie the Goat’s production of Taming of the Dude (Shrew) .
Tamera Broczkowski - Actor
Selective credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream (NWP); The Importance of Being Earnest (GFT); The Rocky Horror Show (NCT/ OCE); The Cherry Orchard (GTF); Anne, Ah, Wilderness! (CTF). Graduate of Studio 58 (recipient of the 2008 Anthony Holland Trust Scholarship for Outstanding Ability in Theatre Arts).

This year Jhuntue D. Grey has played Tom Collins in Rent with Brampton Music Theatre, Nathan (Katherine) Minola in Taming of the Dude (Shrew) with Louie the Goat. Jhuntue will be playing Cashier in 'Add to cart' by Elyse Lavande. Enjoy!!
Moments in Time by Jan Sims
Experience the emotional arc of a mother in crisis told backwards in time. Through a life-changing event, follow her journey from acceptance, to nostalgia and sadness, preceded by panic and fear, that begins with anger and frustration.
Jan Sims - Actor, Director, Playwright
Jan’s performed on stage in London and St. Thomas. Jan is also a playwright, who’s received an international award, and had her works performed locally. Her short stories have appeared in publications including the Humber Literary Review. Jan is a former television news reporter and anchor.
Venus and Capella by Jade Walker
Venus the Goddess of Love is fed up with her boyfriend Adonis the God of Beauty. He smells and she has grown tired of his repressive sexual advances towards her. Venus secretly longs to be with her gardener Capella instead. But does Capella feel the same way about her? Enjoy this queer Sapphic adaptation of Shakespeare’s Venus and Adonis.
Jade Walker (she/they) - Playwright
Jade Walker is a pansexual neurospicy playwright, author, actor, director and multidisciplinary artist. Her plays explore themes of queer love, feminism, trauma, healing and isolation. Her witchy horror short stories are published in The Vermin Magazine and Vocivia Magazine.
Joshua Patrick - Director
Joshua Patrick graduated from Western University in 2020 with a Diploma of Music Performance in Voice. He is an emerging Theatre Artist that spent the last several years producing new theatre scripts with First Steps Theatre and various fringe festivals.
Eden Eidt - Venus
Eden is a recent graduate of the MA in English Literature program at Western University.She has recently appeared as Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing (Western Summer Shakespeare), Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest (Funeral Pyre Theatre), and Portia in Something Rotten! (King’s Players).

Corey Patrick - Capella
Corey Patrick is a Western University alumni. Having been in theatre from a young age, she showed a passion for it all throughout high school, and university. Her latest production was Midsummer Night’s Dream and her most favorite production to date is Much Ado About Nothing.

Sarah is a creative human completely incapable of committing to one medium; an actor, writer, musician, (emerging) producer, and as many other hats as she can balance atop her head. Past roles include Izzy Slate (Slate Sisters, AlvegoRoot Theatre), Miss Stacey (Anne of Green Gables in Concert, Kiwanis Festival), Gertrude (Lawrence Station, Fridge Door Live Theatre) and Mrs. Cassilis (The Cassilis Engagement, University Players).

Haiden is genuinely excited to be working with AlvegoRoot on this project. As an actor based in Stratford, Haiden is stoked about the idea of performing in a play that's shorter than a standard intermission. Two Italian immigrants separated by the events of WW2, reunite over olives and aperitivos in an Italian-Canadian restaurant fifty years later.
Nicole McInnis - Playwright
Nicole McInnis, a first-time playwright is a life-long Londoner. After becoming an empty nester, she finally had time to attend a creative writing course and re-spark her passion for writing. Many of her friends are happy that she has found a new outlet for her storytelling!

Adam is the founding artistic director of AlvegoRoot, which for the past sixteen years has produced over sixty productions, twenty-five of which have been world premieres of local plays. Adam is a graduate of York University where he studied new play dramaturgy.

As an actor Chris has appeared in many AlvegoRoot productions including as Roy McDonald in Beard, Paul Peel in Grey Days Preferable and William Lyon Mackenzie in The Boy with an R in His Hand. As a speaking coach and corporate trainer Chris is passionate about shifting the corporate code to drive more humanity, compassion, and connection.

Kassidy’s ready to cancel everything from Duolingo to the trip, but that fabulous green mascot manifests to get her back to learning and on her way to Deutschland!

Kydra Ryan is the Associate Artistic Director of AlvegoRoot Theatre. She is also co-producing the play festival. She is a professional actor, playwright and director, having been part of AlvegoRoot Theatre for 7 seasons and assisting in the creation of over 30 different productions with the company.

Dale has been involved in theatre for over 35 years as a director, actor, producer and designer in both London and Calgary. He received a Calgary-ACTS award for Best Director for Don Juan in Chicago. Dale is making his debut with AlvegoRoot Theatre. Thanks to Matt for thinking of him.
Sarah Taylor (she/her) - Mother
Sarah has been in many local productions and has directed several pieces of child and youth theatre with various companies in London and surrounding areas. She works in mental health and well-being with the TVDSB. She has a love of horror movies and all things scary. Which is why this is such an incredible opportunity- thanks Matt!
Vera Lluka (he/they/she) - Zachary/Demon
Vera is a queer actor finding his place in London’s lovely theatre community. His previous credits include StageQuest: Beyond the Veil with Odesa and A Midsummer Night's Dream with Summer Shakespeare. He’s positively thrilled to be working together with this lovely cast of creatives.
Vera will be assuming the role of the Demon Oct 24th, 26th & 27th
Mariana Hrnjak (she/her) - Zachary/Demon (understudy)
Mariana is excited to perform in her first AlvegoRoot production. Her previous credits include Bard (StageQuest: Beyond the Veil) and a recent performance as London Policeman/Snork (Elephant Man). She would like to thank the cast for supporting her through stepping in as an understudy.
